About Elowen

“Elowen”

A symbol of strength, resilience and growth

Elowen means "elm tree" in Cornish - my heritage - and just like the Cornish elm, I’ve put down roots here in Australia, where this beautiful, resilient tree has found a way to thrive.  Elowen is a perfect symbol of what I believe; even through life's wildest seasons, you can stay strong, flexible and keep reaching for the sun (even if some days, stretching just means making it to the kettle).

With a mix of practical know-how, heartfelt support and a good dash of humour, I’ll help you navigate the twists, turns and upside-down moments with confidence. Around here, we don’t just survive the messy moments, we grow through it, laugh through it and come out the other side even stronger.

Hi, I'm Jen, a Cornish girl at heart, now living under the big blue skies of Western Australia. I'm a proud mum of three teenagers, cancer survivor and a big believer that life experiences can be used to help others.

I began my professional career in Wales, graduating with honours in Physiotherapy, with a special interest in women’s health and mental health. Over time, I noticed that real healing often began not just with treatment, but with a listening ear and conversation. That spark led me towards a career change to counselling.

For the past several years, I’ve worked in schools as a counsellor, chaplain and wellbeing co-ordinator supporting teenagers and families through the challenges of childhood and adolescence. It was here that I saw first-hand the power of connection, empathy and practical support to create real change.

Now, through Elowen, I bring together my background in mental health/women’s health physiotherapy, my counselling expertise and personal experiences of motherhood, survivorship and I take a holistic, person centered, evidence based approach to life’s challenges. My areas of interest are the empty nest, motherhood, career pivots, health challenges and the rollercoaster of menopause.

At Elowen, it’s all about Counselling, Coaching, and Connection.

If you’re looking for someone who understands, listens deeply and walks alongside you with both warmth and practical support — I’d love to meet you.

Welcome to Elowen.
